Quarterly Connections highlights events hosted by Alternative Trends – our connections every quarter. We created our events to connect with friends, clients, and more friends.
In recent years we have partnered up with organizations such as The Bank Ultra Lounge, Fluid Lounge, The Edmonton Valley Zoo Society, and most recently The City of Edmonton to co-host events.
The events are always very different. We’ve never chosen the same venue twice but the commonality is the people and the price – free. In the past four years, our followers have grown from hundreds to thousands.
Alternative Trends is proud to announce that 2010 marks our five-year anniversary. Thank you for your continued support and for always attending a celebration of arts, culture, and entertainment.

Quarterly Connections took place at Sacred Diva Healing Centre for Women on January 23, 2010. Manola Borrajo-Giner, an amazing local artist previously profiled by AT, showcased her amazing glasswork. Artwork and sculptures from Africa were also on display. New Asian Village once again tempted our taste buds with an amazing buffet. All guests were invited to mingle and have a great time while reviewing amazing art pieces for their home, office, and restaurants.
A complimentary wine reception, private tarot card readings by Sheryl Tokarek, and tea cup readings by Bev Kennedy also complemented the evening. Delicious home-made treats were served to the guests for dessert. A special thanks to Carol Watson, for all her hard work and delicious baked goods.
Quarterly Connections takes great pride in not being your everyday corporate event. We encourage people to build new relationships, and continue to grow and maintain the ones already established.
